Spanish imperatives are used for commands, instructions, advice and requests in spoken and written Spanish. This quiz focuses on informal tú commands, including both affirmative and negative forms. The two patterns are not identical: affirmative tú commands often resemble the third-person singular present form, while negative commands use the present subjunctive.

Pay special attention to irregular forms and to the difference between telling someone to do something and telling them not to do it. Read the complete situation before answering, because pronouns, spelling changes and common irregular verbs can affect the form you need.
