Pretérito Indefinido – Verbos Irregulares

Usage / Uso

Expresses completed actions in the past. (Se usa para acciones terminadas en el pasado.)

Examples: ayer (yesterday), el año pasado (last year), hace dos horas (two hours ago).

Important Notes

  • Accent marks matter: hablé vs habló. (Irregulars in this group do NOT have accent marks!)
  • Ser and Ir share the exact same forms (fui, fuiste, fue…).
  • Common irregular stems: tuv-, estuv-, pud-, pus-, sup-, quis-, vin-, dij-, traj-.
  • Third person plural changes: dijeron, trajeron (no 'i' before the 'e').
